I gotta say, I love these brothers - they have really dialed in their sound, their harmonies, their dynamics, their solid rhythm. Love having them anytime, anywhere.

About The Rayburn Bros.

The Rayburn Brother’s Band, with their rough-hewn folk-rock sound, is comprised of gifted singer songwriter Craig Rayburn, a well-seasoned musician with a powerful voice and lyrics, and brother Keith Rayburn, also a talented singer songwriter, who brings his stellar dobro and slide guitar playing to the mix. The Rayburn Brothers voices blend and intertwine as only brothers can, with graceful harmonies and poignant singing. Deftly combining acoustic and electric instruments, they play songs ranging from heart-rending ballads to foot stomping rockers. They each bring their particular style to the mix, creating a soulful and eclectic m . . . More »

This is a BLUEGRASS night with a wonderful local band, Hilltown. It’s been awhile since I’ve seen/heard them but they sure are a crowd-pleaser.

About Hilltown

Named after the little town that grew out of the well traveled Salinas river fording site of the mid 1800s, the newly formed four-piece bluegrass band Hilltown is sure to get your toes a tapping. All of the band members live in the Monterey area; three on hills overlooking the bay and the other just across from the old Hilltown site in Salinas--hence the name. Three of the band members, also of the venerable Fog Valley Drifters based mainly in Modesto, were looking for a way to stay in practice locally and invited guitar flat picker par excellence and singer Norm Green to join in. As happens with a lot of bands, things clicked an . . . More »

He’s a bluesy cat and I love him. One heck of a keyboard player too - he’s got a song for you up his sleeve - and can teach you a thing or two about groove.

About Tom Lawson

Tom Lawson, although known primarily as keyboardist/vocalist with Monterey area bands such as Blues at Eleven, strips the music down to the core of the blues experience with his solo piano and vocal performance. The music is selected from the birth of recorded blues in the 1920s onward, but it is more than just a history lesson. Each song tries to capture the emotion of the original performance and to involve the listener in the story that each song tells. Tom says,"It is one thing to play the notes but to communicate emotion demands more. I hope to do this every time I am in front of an audience."

And the award winning Bob Cheevers celebrating his 75th birthday and promoting his latest offering called “Bob On A Stick”…14 new songs on 128mb memory sticks recorded live over two weekends last year with 8 of my favorite music friends all gathered around a single AEA R88 ribbon mic at Moon Studio in Sacramento where all of us recorded so many times together. About Louie Ortega

Although best known nationally and internationally for his unobtrusive yet fortifying guitar licks and the warm, smooth vocals behind such groups as the Sir Douglas Quintet and the Texas Tornados (Freddie Fender, Flaco Jimenez, Augie Meyers and Doug Sahm), Louie Ortega can and does stand on his own as a singer/songwriter/guitarist. With a career spanning more than three decades, Ortega got his start in 1969 as the front man for Columbia and Atlantic recording artists Louie and the Lovers. When the group disbanded, Louie joined forces with his friend Doug Sahm for a series of recording projects and European tours. His songs, such
