This Friday, 1/21 from 7-9pm a dinner concert with introspective and revealing, Brett Mikels, who’s music echoes the lyrical genius of James Taylor, the soul of Stevie Wonder, and the contemporary sound of John Mayer. This blue-eyed soul singer, songwriter and guitarist subtly weaves R&B and folk into thought-provoking songs with a groove, first showcased in his debut album, “Deep Enough” (released in 2006). Each song telling a story… an experience… resonating with his ever-growing fan base worldwide.
Born in Germany then traveling the world throughout his childhood, Brett had the opportunity to spend time with people from different walks of life and cultures before his family established roots in Los Angeles, California. As a songwriter, Brett reflects, “For me, the most important thing is to just pay attention and be grateful along the way.”
With the release of his latest single, "Love Says So", a tune gifted with an infectious little hook, Brett is hitting the road once again in support of his highly anticipated second solo album, "What Are you Waiting for". Beginning with a return performance at the "First Night Monterey" festival stage on New Year’s Eve, Brett will then tour Australia in January/February 2010.
